Why one kit costs more than another
Number of pieces
A three-piece dress-watch kit is not the same job as an integrated-bracelet kit where every link, chamfer and clasp component needs its own piece. Royal Oak and Nautilus kits are among the most piece-heavy we make.
Case geometry
Curved lugs, skeletonised cases, tonneau shapes and screw motifs all need more pattern development. Richard Mille is the clearest example: almost nothing on the case is flat.
Gem-set and precious metal versions
Diamond-set bezels and soft gold surfaces need patterns that follow settings exactly, which is why some AP and Patek references sit at the top of the range.
How the price compares
- Against polishing: a professional polish costs money every time and removes metal permanently. Film costs once and removes nothing.
- Against resale: unpolished watches with intact factory finishing consistently sell for more than polished examples. On a five-figure watch, a US$150 kit is a small share of the difference a scratched clasp can make when you sell.
- Against replacing parts: a scratched clasp or a stretched bracelet can be replaced, but service parts for precious-metal bracelets cost far more than a protection kit.
What is included
Every kit is cut for one reference and covers the case, bracelet and clasp surfaces that get the most contact. Kits use FINX Optical Transparent Film: ultra-thin, patented, highly transparent, with a self-healing surface that lets light hairlines fade with body heat, and it peels off cleanly.

Do you charge separately for installation?
Installation is arranged through our stores. Contact us with your model and city and we will confirm availability and timing.
Can I buy replacement pieces?
Yes. The clasp and bracelet pieces wear first, and we sell spare film so you do not have to re-buy the whole kit.
My reference is not listed. Can you still make it?
Yes, we cut custom patterns. Send us the reference and we will confirm the price.
Is a cheaper generic film worth trying?
Pre-cut generic sheets rarely match the exact case shape. Gaps, lifted edges and visible film borders are the usual result, and poor adhesive can leave residue on the metal.
