A protection film is only as good as its fit. Two kits cut from the same pattern can look completely different depending on how carefully the edges are set. This page explains where FINX installs film, what happens during an appointment, and what your options are if you are not in one of our cities.

What happens during an installation
- Model check. We confirm the exact reference, because bracelet and clasp shapes differ between versions of the same model.
- Cleaning. The case, bracelet and clasp are cleaned so no dust is trapped under the film.
- Fitting. Each piece is positioned and pressed down, following chamfers, screw motifs and curved lugs.
- Edge setting. The edges are the part that fails first on a bad installation, so they get the most attention.
- Final check. We inspect the watch under strong light for lifted edges or trapped dust.
Most single watches take under an hour. Complex integrated bracelets and gem-set pieces take longer.
If you are not in Bangkok, Singapore or Shanghai
All kits are shipped worldwide and can be self-installed. The film is cut to shape, so there is nothing to trim; the work is cleaning, positioning and pressing the edges. Take your time, work in a dust-free room, and do one piece at a time.
What to bring or send
- The exact reference number of your watch (on the warranty card or between the lugs).
- The bracelet version, if the model has several.
- The watch itself, clean and with any spare links you normally wear.

Do I need an appointment?
Not always, but it is faster with one, especially for Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet and Richard Mille references.
Can you install film on a watch bought elsewhere?
Yes. We install film on any watch we have a pattern for, wherever it was purchased.
